I was gonna get a bran new cobalt but that is 250 per month impossible for me to afford. I tried an 2005 cobalt and that was still 235 a month. What car would be cheap to insure and get good gas mileage. Please help me. My car blew up and i need to get a new car soon but i can't find reasonable insurance. By the way there are absolutly no tickets or accidents on my record, so i dont know what the problem is other than that i am only 21.

  1. Unfortunately, the reason your insurance is so high is not just because of the type of vehicle you're driving... it's because you are considered a "youthful driver" until you are 24 years old.

Depending on which insurance company you have... some offer different programs and discounts to lower  your rates. You should give your insurance company a call and see if any apply to you.

  2. I am 22 and I bought an 08 Honda Civic. I pay $140 a month for insurance and I live in Houston, TX.

I am not sure why your insurance would be so high for a Cobalt though. It might be because of where you live.

You might want to try looking at a car that is a bit older like an 02. That will be much more affordable.  Also, make sure you are getting quotes from multiple companies. Just because you get a quote that is really high doesn't mean you won't find a different company that will offer you a better rate. Just do a bit more research.

  3. I would recommend:

    2008 Honda Civic Si

    - EPA Fuel Economy: City: 21 – 26   Highway: 29 – 36

And I can tell from you researching cobalts that you want to ride with style?

To be honest, I find the 2008 Honda Civic Si a nice exterior design.

You may not be much enthusiastic about the interior as it is just a plain system. But it's someone everyone can get use to.

To learn more about this car I have provided a direct link that provides more information in sources.

Well good luck on picking your car.

  4. depends on where you live, if you go with the Honda familyit may or may not cost you more because of the theft rate. imports tend to higher on insurance, so if your looking for cheap stick with domestic.
