  1. The citizenship requirement is that you must have been a US citizen for at least the last 9 years.

    Apart from that, you must be 30 years old and reside in the State which you would represent.


  2. To be a Senator in the Senate, a candidate must be 30 years or older, a U.S. citizen for at least 9 years and

    when elected, be an inhabitant of that sate for which he shall be chosen.
