  1. What's it like? One of the nicest places in the world - FACT. Anyone who lives here takes it for granted but it seriously is one of the friendliest places in the world not to mention the 8th best night out in the world! :D

  2. I am from Newcastle. It is a nice city and people enjoy drinking here. There are a lot of fancy dress nights, bars , clubs and restaurants. It is hard to get a job here and the weather is cold with a lot of wind as we are close to the North Sea. It rains, even in the summer and girls like to go out in skimpy skirts and drink.

On a saturday night there can be fights in the town. There are lots of shops, a few museums and a castle. We are very close to the border of Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh. A concert hall was built a few years ago and a new art gallery. There is a great big river and a bridge called the Tyne Bridge with the river Tyne running under it. The main place to be is Newcastle upon Tyne and there is also a Newcastle On Tyne. Northumberland is the surrounding area and is more scenic. Hexham is close by and there is a myth that there were witches there at one time. There is a castle there also.

Newcastle was a coal mining city so it was famous for shipbuilding industry, hence the numerous bridges in the city. Football is very much a part of the culture of Newcastle.

There is also part of Hadrian's wall here, Roman ruins and there is the Side Cinema if you are into photography.

Visit : The Baltic museum, Sage concert hall, Tynemouth, Whitley Bay and Cullercoas museums, Seaham Glass Museum, Side Cinema, Tyneside cinema, go to The Gate, Discovery Museum. Clubs are Digital, World Headquarter's, Sea, Venue, Legends (if you like heavy metal) and Carling Academy (if you just like Rock)

Nice bars are Vineyard, Floritas, Living Room, Perdu, Tokyo. You can go to a more student area Jesmond and there are nice bars along Osborne Road. If you want to go fishing, Durham is nearby and good for fishing.
