What is the cleanest burning, nonsooting, nonvented, lp heater. Brand, Blue Flame or ceramic?

I had an older one which was Blue flame and was good. It had adjustable air input to adjust out any yellow tips in flame. New one i bought is nonadjustable and looks as if it has a descent flame, but does seem to be sooting when you wipe it down on the outside for normal cleaning...made in CHINA ! What are advantages of ceramic and is there either type that are still made with air intake adjustments?
