What is the climax of the short story The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell? I have an idea I'm just not sure which one it is, is it when Rainsford jumps off of the cliff into the ocean, or is it when he is in general Zaroff's room, when he confronts him? Thanks i just want to know peoples opinions on which one it is because I'm torn between the two and i can't finish my homework until i decide which one. Also i can't really just ask my teacher, she is kinda like crazy i guess lol and she gets madddd if you ask a question.

Thanks Again =]

  1. We JUST read this in class. Woo, I know the answer.

My Honors teacher said something like this: There are two climaxes in that story, and you could argue either one to be the major climax. When Rainsford jumps off of the cliff, and when he confronts Zaroff are both major. The climax is when you, as a reader, feel the most emotional involvment, so it's really your choice.

    Hope I helped...
