  1. As well as proximity, I would also consider what other facilities are nearby.  South Kensington and Paddington are both reasonably accessible from Leicester Square and have good local restaurants, pubs, shops and so on.

Also take a look at the Underground map before you make a decision.

    Enjoy your break!

  2. Victoria and paddington are closest

south kensington 3 miles to the west of Leicester square

and earls court is 6 miles to the west of leicester square

    hope this helps :)

  3. VICTORIA.i work there.and i lived in london all my  life.and if its a warm night you can take a walk back to your hotel.pas big ben  ect ect have a great time.

  4. straight line distances:

    Victoria 1.1 miles

    Paddington 2 miles

    Earls Court  3.1 miles

    South Kensington 2.2 miles

  5. Victoria

  6. piccadilly

  7. Victoria.

Its also on a good tube line, the Victoria Line and only 3 stops from Leicester Square (with one change)- less than 5 min tube trip.

Paddington and Earls Court are at the mercy of the District Line which is one of the oldest and notoriously slow and rubbish.

    Paddington is miles away

Defo Victoria, its nearer in a cab too, and really easy to go anywhere from there. Kensington is a nice area, but if I was choosing between South Ken and Kensington High st, High st is nicer with good shopping, (but expensive to stay)

    Enjoy your time in London!

  8. Either South Kensington (5 stops on the Piccadilly line) or Victoria (only one change...) would be better.  South Ken will be more expensive though.  Victoria has a nice blend of restaurants and a small shopping complex.  Plus you can take a nice walk along the Thames and take in a lot of the sights.  Have fun!
