It totally depends where in Costa Rica - there are many micro climates - in San Jose its much cooler than in the northwestern province of Guanacaste...up in the cloud forest its even cooler (fireplaces in many rooms for warmth)

The coldest it every got in CR when I was there was high 60s F.

I don't think it would get much colder than the mid 60s during the rainy season but you won't need to wear much more than a sweater or light jacket at the most.
