What is the college life really like?

The college life is a struggle between social life and responsibilities.  I am senior now and the advice I always give people who are about to enter college is that the hardest thing you will encounter is being able to say NO to your friends that you need to stay in and study for an exam.  It is very possible to go out and drink and party with your friends a great deal in college but to also keep close to Straights As.  My opinion has been that Sunday-Thursday night my *** belongs to school... Thursday night-Saturday are fun days.    

Dorms are gross, but you should definitely live in one for a year or two to really gain the "college experience" to meet a bunch of people, learn to live with so many different people, and to watch who gets super drunk and acts like an idiot or pukes/pees in the hallway.  There are going to be a lot of idiots, but your there to get an education and you can't let that leave your mind.

as a female, the college life is exciting, forever changing and different. you will never have another experience like it and if i could do it over again- i would but i would do it a little differently.

for a guy, im not sure but im sure it is the same way. just live your life- have fun and dont change for anyone. do your work though please. it ends up for your benefit.
