  1. No one knows, since this temperature is fatal to mankind... therefore no man (or woman) would be able to survive that heat to see the coal. Interesting question...


  2. Once you burn coal, it no longer is coal, so phrases like "color of coal" have no meaning.

    The byproducts of burning coal are usually CO2, CO, Water, and ash. the ash is gray or black.

  3. there are a number of types of coal from bituminous to anthracite, but once turned into a powdered form and sent through a power plant. The result is a black powder (less potential energy in it) that is nearly pure carbon. As burning it has removed most of the sulphur and nitrogen etc.
