  1. Blue -

The color of water is a subject of both scientific study and popular misconception. Pure water has a light blue color which becomes a deeper blue as the thickness of the observed sample increases. The blue color is caused by selective absorption and scattering of the light spectrum. Impurities dissolved or suspended in water may give water different colored appearances.

  2. It has no color. If you have pure, filtered water in a clear glass box, you should see clear through it (allthough the image is distorted due to refraction). Normal water in a river or the ocean looks blueish because of the particels and other stuff in the water. When the sun light hits the water and refracts, it encounters these particles and can turn it blue. This is the same thing that happens with the atmosphere. The sky is not blue it just appears that way because the sunlight hits the particles and the light is changed, just like a sunset or rise.
