My husband and I are considering adoption, but hear that the combined age limit used to be 80 years old, but was decreased to 75 years old in 2007. We can't find the legislation anywhere, and haven't heard back from any of the agencies we've contacted. It would be nice to know the combined age limit before we get too attached to the idea!

  1. Technically I don't have an answer for you, but what a silly idea this sounds like.  A 'combined' age limit?  So if you guys were 40 or older, you would not be allowed to adopt??   What a crock.  I'm sorry to hear that and hope you are able to adopt soon.

  2. The agencies aren't calling you back because you are too old.
