    Common denominator = 40

    40[3z/8 - 7/10] = 6 * 40

    15z - 28 = 240

    15z = 268

    z = 17.87


  2. 40 is a common denomintor (8*5, and 10*4, 1*40)

    3z/8 - 7/10 = 6/1 == 15z/40 - 28/40 = 240
