What is the commute like from Tampa to Clearwater or St. Petersburg?

Does anyone know what the commute is like between Tampa and Clearwater or Tampa and St. Petersburg. Mapquest said the drive was about 30 minutes. I'm looking at getting a summer job in one of these cities and am wonder if it is worth the commute. Thanks!

It of course matters where in Tampa you will be living and where in St. Petersburg/Clearwater you will be working, but I have a friend who does this commute.  You would have to take one of the bridges, so the problem there is that if there's an accident at rush hour, traffic can get really backed up.  She said that her usual commute is 30-40 minutes.
