I used a company to cut printed cardstock for clients. Last week, they really messed up my cuts, therefore having to reprint the items since I refused to absorb the cost for their error. Long story short, they messed up the print job twice before their manager finally got involoved after my many complaints. Third try and they finally got it right. I thought the issue was finally resolved after discussion with the manager. That was yesterday. This morning I awoke to find a email/contact form submission from someone at this company. I know it is that company due to the specific information in the email & the recorded IP address (where it is registered). The email was 100% vulgar and harrassing. They had to do research to find me and contact me in another way besides email. My questions (finally) is what is the legal liability of the company when an employee violates a customer in this manner?

  1. Sending offending, vulgar and harrassing emails via employer or company's IP address/name must not be tolerated. The employer is legally liable, and may be exposed in media. The employer must prove that it taken steps to cure the problem, and pay compensation claimed.

  2. If you think it was from someone other than the manager, I'd share the email you got with him.
