What is the comparison between the US dollar and the pound?

well its bad if your coming from the US to england, like me

Currently in Ireland the basic exchange £ sterling to euro is £1 pound = €1.10

And $1= €0.60

so a pound sterling is almost double the dollars.

The dollar is quite bad in Europe at the moment anyway

$2 to £1 give or take (about $1.95 really) but both are gold based currencies that are now heavily petrochemical and futures trade reliant.

Great if you fancy a holiday in the USA becuase everything will appear about half price!
