What is the composition of a nutrient broth and how does nutrient agar differ from nutrient broth?

    meat extract-1 g/l
    yeast extract-2g/l
    sodium chloride-15g/l
    agar-15g/l
    PH- 7

  2. • Peptone - 5 g/L
    • Meat extract - 1 g/L
    • Yeast extract - 2 g/L
    • Sodium chloride - 5 g/L
    • Agar - 15 g/L
    • pH - 7.0 ± 0.2
    • Storage temperature - 2-8°C
    Nutrient broth does not contain agar,however if we add agar to it, it will become nutrient agar:)

  3. Peptone- 0.5%
    Beef Extract-0.3%
    Agar-1.5%
    pH adjusted to neutral at 25 C

    When 2% of agar is added to nutrient broth then it become nutrient agar as it does not contain agar
