What is the condition of Cancun's Hotel district?

Does anyone know the condition of the hotel district in cancun after hurricane dean? Or possibly where to find the latest and current condition of the hotels there after it hit yesterday? Please let me know as we are visiting there in a few weeks

Fortunately the hurricane hits land by the city of Chetumal, so the damage is there and in other cities in Yucatan and Veracruz, but the hotel zone in Cancun is OK.

They did not have to evacuate anyone from the hotel zone so I don't think you should have any problem...last time they were up and running in a week and it was a lot worse last time.

You can call your resort as well to see if they had any damage..
