Hi!

I am an IT Recruiter myself so I feel, I can give you some idea on this field.

Today, recruitment is a billion dollar business in India.

Almost 90% of IT companies outsource there recruitment activities to vendors.

So, I personally I feel it is a 100% hot job today.

As far as growth prospects is concerned,

If you are a in IT Consulting firm then after gaining some experience we can climb up the ladder and bceome Senior IT Recruiter.Then Delivery Head etc;

If you in a IT concern then you can specialize in recruitment and become an Hr Executive who concentrates on recruitment. But, no chance of getting into other field in Human Resouce like Payroll, Statuory Compliances etc;
