What is the condition of the Mumbai Goa Road, especially after the rains over the last one month?

I am planning a Road trip to Goa. Wanted to be sure if the roads are good enough or one should avoid it. Someone who has been there in last 2 weeks, kindly let me know the exact status.

Well i would like to congratulate that u have decide your trip by  road. if u have make  planned to go by road so u have enjoy alot yur trip.  if u u  are planning to make a trip down down the Mumbai - Goa highway ( NH 17) in the last one month so its good.

I took the bus to Goa last week. The roads were not so bad, though at a couple of stretches there were rough patches. Funny thing is, the worst stretches were along the outskirts of Mumbai. Once you get on the highway, the roads are pretty good.

Not good man....and I do not want to suggest you to try this. You should be more than sure when you set foot out and best source is weather reports. Right now it is raining and much portion of this region is flooded with normal to alarming level.

condition pretty good. a bit skiddy at curves. 70-80 is comfortable speed
