  1. First, there are different plays titled Antigone.

    The story of Antigone concerns the conflict between being true to the laws of man and the laws of the gods.  Creon decrees that Antigone's brother is to remain unbured as he was considered an enemy of the state.  The gods have stated that a family has responsibility to bury its dead.  

    Antigone symbolically buries her brother by sprinkling soil over his corpse.

    Antigone also represents one of the first tails of teenage rebellion and foreshadows many stories where a young person stands up against the establishment.
