  1. Cell phone microwave radiation is one of the theories for the reason behind bee "colony collapse disorder".

    Other theories involve:

Genetically Modified (GM) crops - Bt protein in some maize crops is designed to kill certain insect larvae. It may also have a negative effect on bees.

Pesticides - especially Bayer Gaucho (Imidacloprid), which has been banned in France because of its toxicity to bees.

    Virus

    Varroa mites

  2. they both make a noise

  3. Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) can be caused by many factors.  Cell phone usage is just one, but how much of one is highly debatable.

Some reports say up to 60% of the USA bee population has been affected by CCD.  Europe has also been affected.  Although initially Japan's usage of the African Bee increased it's honey production, it too has felt the effect of CCD.

Human beings are dependent on bees to pollinate our plants for our food and oxygen supply.  Humans beings need Bees to survive.  It's a very delicately balanced and serious issue.

  4. Cell phones have no effect on bees. I have a bunch of active hives an my backyard and I'm 1/10 of a mile from a cell tower. It's all another boogey man that someone thought up.
