In my research I keep coming across people like George Antonius and George Habish but today I have the impression most of the Christian Palestinians are not much involved. What is their level of involvement in the ongoing struggle to liberate Palestine from the Jordan to the sea?

  1. Hannan Ashrawi, Afif Safieh and Na'im Ateek are all prominant Christian Palestinians involved in the struggle to liberate Palestine.  You can probably count Azmi Bishara as well.  They aren't necessarily pro one-state but I think you can say they support equal rights for Palestinians

  2. Crucial,as you seem to know, but in terms of current contributions I'm not sure.

  3. If I had the guts, I'll copy and paste what Mark said.... Bravo Mark.

Just go back to the crisis of the Church of nativity 6 or 7 years ago and remember the role played by Christians Protecting Muslims inside the church.

In Palestine, all the population belongs to Palestine, not to religions.

  4. Azmi Bsharah and  Edward Said .

Robert Hughes has described Said as "a scholar and humanist,… the controversial voice of Palestine in America and an eloquent mediator between the Middle East and the West."

  5. The real struggle for independence involves intelligent people like Ashrawi and Said who want to stop civil war, terrorism, and Hamas, and to negotiate a two-state solution with a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza.  Sadly, they have been voted out, exiled from Gaza, and treated as military enemies.

Those who want to ethnically cleanse the Jews from the Jordan to the sea are racist genocidal losers.  They'll probably blow up all the Ashrawis before it's over if they're allowed to.  As the struggle becomes Islamicized, it's not surprising if not many Christians are on the front lines fighting for an immoral losing cause (Jordan to the sea) or for an Islamic Hamas-run state where they would be second-class citizens.

  6. hosam al taweel is a christian hamas member, his views are political and supports the freedom fighting for the palestinians. its also no surprise that christians in lebanon are in support of hezbollah to oust the zionist virus. just google "lebanese christians support hezbollah"

  7. they suffer the same as the followers of Islam no one wins in war do not for get Hannan Ashrawy who was for a long time the PLO spoke person

  8. The Christian Palestinians contributions to the struggle for independence started back in late 1800S when they realized the Western colonial powers plan after the end of the Otomanic Empire.

The founder of Arab Nationalism movement was Christian Palestinian named George Habish. The first Palestinian prisoner was a Christian Palestinian named William Nsar. The first Palestinian religious leader to be jailed by the Israeli occupation for military activities was father Caputchy.

Today, Christian Palestinians are found in many political parties. Today the Archbishop of Jerusalem is a Palestinian nationalist M. Sbah and his a Palestinian patriotic.
