A mystery shopper.

They are people who are paid to go to a restaurant or a shop and take on a persona and test the workers.  I think you get paid a little, but you get free stuff and a great meal.

I knew an English guy who spoke a few languages, Swedish was his main second language, if you will, and was a trained lawyer.

He used to get a phone call after things like a 'small' collision between say a Greek and Italian ship in a Norweigian port.

He'd fly there, get 5 star hotels all paid for and work out the rights and wrongs.  He'd be there for about a fortnight and pocket say £25K.

How cool is that?  Good bloke and all.  The first person I knew with a Jukebox in his flat.
