I would just get them a really cool surf style swim-suit or like the clothes you could wear on top cause I love stuff like that but I don't know. Good Luck!

these stupid answers should have consider that a good board costs twice this persons budget.

Here are some real cool suggestions for your budget: Longboard skateboard, xcel wetsuit, surf dvds (secret machine, sipping jetstreams)

The carveboard is the "coolest" but it's out of your budget at $360.

Surfer's guide to baja is a cool idea....if you had said  your budget was $20-30....some people just don't read questions or think about them.

The most appreciated gift a surfer could receive, would be a perfect wave. I don't know how, or where, you would get one.

are you sure that he even wants a gift that has to do with surfing?

you know him better than all of us strangers so you'll have to go with your gut feeling on this decision.

surfers can always use surfboards but normally they would need to pick it themselves in order to be fully content. Every surfer loves a surf trip but that too can be difficult because of their job etc. but on the flip side a surf trip doesn't always mean out of the country. another idea is a waterproof watch this way you can hold them accountable for always being late because of long surf sessions where they had no way to tell the time.
