  1. You are suppossed to keep the runner to the inside.  Your first goal is to keep him from getting to the sidelines, if he does there is nothing but the endzone in front of him.  But if you make him cut back inside their are 10 other players waiting for him.  


  2. It depends on the coverage your in.

    n cover 2 you are the force player if the sweep comes your way. That area is called the flat.

    In Cover 3 you are a support player and come up slow, after you clear the pass.

    Corners have the cutback lanes as well. and yes, always keep the runner inside you.

  3. Seeing as how they are the last line of defense with the safeties, the are responsible for keeping the running back from breaking into the open field.  Thats where good body tackling comes into play.
