Question:

What is the correct dosage of Panacur worming medicine for FERRETS ?

my ferret weighs 1.2 kg and is 5 years old. i want to worm him with the 10% small animal oral suspension for dogs cats puppies and kittens.

i know other people use Panacur on ferrets but do not know how much to give.

  1. Is this a paste or liquid? My ferrets were wormed with Panacur (liquid, 100 mg/mL) awhile back and my vet told me to give them 0.1mL for five days in a row. My ferrets range in size from 1lb 4oz up to 2 lbs 10oz (which is about the same as your ferret). If I were you, I'd check with a vet for the correct dosage.

I agree with the above answerer.  PLEASE check with your vet!  Dosages can be a fickle thing and are determined by factors specific to your animal.  You don't even have to necessarily make an appointment.  If you are a regular patient just call and ask the nurse to pass your question along to the vet.  He/she will call you back to give you the correct info.
