  1. Enjoy your meal or have a good meal

  2. "Enjoy your meal" is what some waiters say.

  3. Yes.

  4. Relish food.

  5. "Eat hearty!"

  6. Enjoy!!!

  7. You could just say, "Enjoy!"

  8. It's a french word/term, but it's acceptable in most European countries, even in the US.

"Enjoy your meal" is also used in English speaking countries.

  9. just to know! : in french, it's "bon appetit" (say bonne apeti!) without e at the end ;)

  10. I don't think there is a commonly accepted phrase for eating in English...we just say "bon appetite", too :)

Eating is not an event here. This is why Americans are fat and French people are not. Seriously.

  11. I guess Bon Appetite is a universally understood term. Even Latinas use it in Soth America.

  12. Enjoy your meal.

  13. bon appetie is used alot

  14. a literal translation doesnt really work, but the expression would be "enjoy your meal" or just "enjoy!"

  15. FRENCH            ENGLISH

    Bon               Good

    Appetite          Appetite

So the English equivalent would be "Enjoy your meal"

  16. I don't think there is an expression equivalent to the french 'Bon Appetite'.

Enjoy your meal - is a translation - it is not said before meals.

The tendency is to complement the meal after it has been eaten - like - 'I really enjoyed that'! or 'Excellent meal!' or just burb!

  17. enjoy your meal
