What is the correct pronunciation of Beijing?

Specifically, how should I pronounce the J? Is it a hard J like in jingle, or a soft J like in the French jour? Or, if you know the IPA, is it ʤ or ʒ?

I hear both pronunciations in the news, and I would like to know which is correct.
