The haka is a war dance used for the all blacks to get pwecious about during and after internationals...there seems no way to respond to it,......... without enraging and insulting the all blacks...

If you look at it -you feel like a p***y..while they glare at you, pull faces and get really nasty and provacative...

If you turn your back to it - they slag you off in the press after.....and basically get all pwecious.

If you throw grass up in the air (like odriscal...the correct response apparently)they spear tackle you - at the first ruck and nearly kill you (he could have died), and take it as a insult..

If you ask them to do their dance before the anthems they do it in private secrecy and privacy (apparently) and yet invite a camera and sound crew in to film it..and use it as a tool to withhold respect to the opposition..

Isn't the correct response (taken by tourists all over the world)to issue the players with kodaks.......and too just take pictures of.

  1. Anything but John Williamson and his guitar.

Otherwise the best response is a length of the field intercept try by Stirling Mortlock

  2. They are showing their pride in their cultural heritage, so watch them and give them the respect they deserve.

It's a wonderful sight and I always look forward to watching them perform it.

  3. Its not meant to disrespect. Its as the others said a challenge, its their pride, their culture. I for one love to see them unleash their Haka. It shows their passion, tradition and hunger. How to handle it..respect it, look them in the eye and then go win the match!!

  4. The correct response is beating them in the match, and admiring the Haka while they perform it, or respect it at least.

  5. simply just show respect to it, it is a great tradition.

  6. Just turn round and show them your bum !!!

  7. Speak like KHALI

    !@#$@!%$$#&^%^*^!@$@#%$#&%$*%$*#&$#^%%...

  8. You gotta man up.  Accept the challenge and take care of the biz.  Anywho, you sound like a bit of a sook anyway.  Talk about whinge....  Just take comfort that you can be as indignant as you like from the comfort of your lounge room without being too intimidated or risk serious injury like BOD...  (LOL)

  9. Its a challange,you dont turn your back to a challange.It make you look like a p***y.

  10. Run

  11. Clap, that might confuse them. Then grit your teeth, and tell your team mates;-  "we are going to Haka these guys into the ground.".

Phew, they are a discilpined team.

  12. Well the welsh rugby union checked it with Maori leaders in New Zealand and they are entitled to do there war cry which is allowed to be one of our rugby songs. The Kiwis did not like that, which is why the last Haka performed to the welsh was done in the changing rooms and the welsh replied by singing land of my Fathers, the reason the Kiwis did not want to do it the open is the team would have had the backing of over 40,000 supporters singing along. Sourpuss's I call them.

The first time the Haka was performed at a rugby match against wales  in 1905 on that occasion the welsh team sang land of my fathers back to them.

  13. lol, you have to appreciate the Haka for what it is.... a challenge,

In my opinion it should be faced, nose to nose as England did a few years ago.  It is not a sign of disrespect, it is a sign we will not be intimidated and I believe the average NZ would respect the challenge. Let the rugby talk.

I think it should be made and faced in the spirit it is intended.

  14. the best way too answer the haka is too stand up too it and accept the challage

  15. The Hakka is a war dance that the ALL BLACKS do it means is it death is it life this is the hairy man who caused the Sun to shine again up the ladder up to the top the sun shines

  16. win the game ..... lol

  17. Show respect by standing and watching the All Blacks perform the Haka...and also try not to be too obvious when you're shaking with fear.

  18. Consider that Australia, South Africa, France and yes even England have all asked this same question and on "some occassions", have responded in the most respectable and honourable way possible.

Anyone who can boast winning a game of rugby against the All Blacks has given the Haka Ka Mate Ka Mate its correct response. It is about challengeing an opposition to to do their utmost best therefore ensuring that the spirit of the game of Rugby is played at its best.

  19. The Haka is one of rugby's finest traditions respected by all Rugby unions.I believe only two other rugby unions have mastered how to handle this challenge. They are South Africa and Australia.

These two teams stand head to head to the New Zealanders each time the Haka is performed and they do not allow the itimidation factor to creep in. Due to their confidence these are the only two teams that have defeated the Kiwi's in the last two years.

  20. The best way to respond is to let them choke and blow another world cup
