"how they work?" or "how do they work?"

can we make simple present sentences without using 'does" or "do"?

  1. "How they work" Would be something you would say if you are showing someone how things work.

    "How do they work" is something you would say when you are asking how something works.

    If you wana a sentance asking how something works you would say

    "Is that how it works?"


  2. The correct way to say it is "How do they work?", but "How they work?" in informal conversations is understood even though not correct.

  3. How do they work? is only correct. The other one is having grammatical error. If you want to write or speak proper english, then you can't avoid do or does.

  4. How do they work ? is the correct sentence because the first group of words do not make a complete thought because it does not have a complete predicate ( verb )
