What is the correct starting procedure for a bayliner 175 Motor?

  2. I/O or outboard?

    if out board make sure it is in neutral and the safety lanyard switch is set to RUN turn the key over.  If it has a choke you may need to use this.  And if you know how to use your neutral throttle you need to use this as well.

    if it is an I/O all the steps before with the blower running to clear fumes out of the engine compartment
