  1. Wow, gilloz couldn't be more wrong.

Every TV is different. If you want to properly set up your TV, buy or rent a DVD specifically designed to help you. Such DVDs would be:

    ISF HDTV Calibration Wizard

    Avia II

    Digital Video Essentials

    Sound&Vision Home Theater Tune-Up

Any of these will walk you through proper setup of the basic user controls for each of the items you mentioned. They will also explain additional settings that can be made by a qualified calibrator.

  2. The corrrect settings are per the viewer's eyes and comfort.  For Hue, 50% is a good start or best skin color of the picture.  The rest are adjusted for each individual's satisfaction.  You can use the Color Bars as a guide, but in the end, it is the quality of the picture you are watching.
