What is the cost and where to recycle used motor oil in California

This is probably not eco friendly but I just pour it on the wood fence posts around my pasture. It helps to keep them from rotting.

Many auto mechanic shops wi dispose of it for you.  AS will 'oil & lube companies.  Many towns or counties have a specific day to pick up used oil.  Check with your local gov't.

you town might have a drop off point at a police or fire station.  i sell my oil to a mechanic shop in town.  dont know what they do with it but they give me a little  money
