Please provide an estimate that considers recurring costs of the aquarium (heating, maintenance, feeding) and first cost of the aquarium, pump, the box jellyfish and everything else necessary.

  1. the aquarium will cost upwards of $5,000-$10,000. on top of that will be the weekly food supply, the purchase of the saltwater (unless you buy your own RO unit). all in all, an expensive option. tanks for jellyfish are specially designed, you cannot use a regular tank as the jellys will get stuck in the corners and die, they need a rotational current.

    for example:

  2. It does not cost as much as the lady mentioned above. Marine salt small bottle cost around $5-6 and you put 1 spoon per 2 gallons. And jelly fish does not eat much, all you need is marine salt.

  3. Well, lets put it this way:

    Aquarium - $80

    Pump/filter - $80

    SeaSalt - $30

    JellyFish - $7

Getting stung by a box jellyfish after asking what the cost of them is - Priceless!

*my friend spend 5 days in hospital after being stung by one...

  4. If not handled properly those creatures could cost your life very easily. It is very hard to keep them alive in fish tanks anyway.Do you want to murder someone with it??
