What is the cost of living diffecence between USA and Italy?

My family has land over in Italy.. I have yet to visit.. sad I know. Anyway.. my fiancé and I were weighing the option of moving there, fixing the house and making that our new home?

If you've made that move or have any advice.. I'd like to hear it.

We currently live in Oregon now.

We'd be moving to Trieste.

With the dollar as weak as it is, it would be a much higher cost in italy, but if you have money or a job and family over there already   go for it.

well i used to live in town of vicenza which isnt far from trieste. i can tell you that the nightlife does not really kick off until around 11 at night so dont plan on going out to any major place before then     as far as day to day life the people are really nice as long as you give them a chance
