  1. in a small city you can get a nice one room flat for 400 euros in think (mutch more in paris)...

so for living you would need a total of 800-1000 euros /month....

  2. rent = 350-450 euros per month, if you want a furnished appt or studio be willing to pay more.

cell phone 25-50 euros per month.

count on 30 euros minimum for food at the grocery store, or avg around 50.

If you eat out often, restaurants get very expensive.  A normal lunch is 9-15 euros and dinner will be 15-30 euros.

If you like sandwiches they will cost you about 4-6 euros.

coke is 2.50 euros a bottle in a cafe, beer is the same price.  Wine a little cheaper.

If you don't pay rent, i would budget 200-400 a month (depending on how ascetic you are you could get buy with 100).

If you do pay rent and pay for utilities, 700 euros a month will have you living very modestly with no expenses for travel.  If you plan to travel, you should hope to have about 1000 a month.

    Good luck
