I am looking to fly my horse from the north island of New Zealand (willing to travel around but currently in Hamilton) to Raleigh North Carolina. I am wondering what the cost to do something like that would be?

  1. I am not sure what the cost would be.  First, you should check with your local or national airlines, or ship freighters, as this is the first place to start.  Second, remember that in most countries, there is a quarantine period where your horse will be quarantined anywhere from days to week or even months.  There is a huge expense in that alone.  Good luck!

  2. You have a flying horse! Well, technically a pegasus... As far as I know there would be no official charges (I don't think pegasus travel is subject to taxation) but you'd have to make sure that it's well fed beforehand for such a long trip.

  3. Please try Sea freighting, it  is a safe and stress-free way to transport horses overseas and is a very cost effective alternative to air freight. I was reading their Site, and it looks like the most trust worthy, and safe. Good Luck!
