Brian, I do not know how much, even an estimate because it varies so much. Example: The GM Hydrogen Fuel Cell car, because of R&D costs, the vehicles (not for sale yet) are near a million dollars a copy. The way they figure developement costs is after the production ends and then they decide if they made a profit or took a loss. The more cars they produce and sell, the lower the developement costs.

Every new model series is a calculated gamble.
