Of course its very safe and a very good place for vacation, the beaches are clean and there is less pollution. though the traffic has increased significantly in the last couple of years. you can visit any of the tourism sites of oman and they would give you what places to visit dont miss the stay in wahiba sands, also do see the turtles near Sur and visit Jabal Akhdar and Jabal Shams
