For me, it would be the anime "Monster". Ghosts, witches ....whatever.....not everyone believes in them. There's something scarier, the human mind. For me, the story is really creepy because it's like "How the heck can this young boy kill his parents! What's going on in his mind?" and his twin sister is even asking the doctor not to save her brother's life. It's all very creepy and scary when you just think what real people can do and how terrible can one's mind be in order to have fame and everything....scarier is the fact that it does happen in reality. Watch it....i tell you....

Also death note is kind of creepy.....also the mind of a student...wanting to "eliminate" everyone accused of a crime. plus it has good portrayals of "shinigamis" or death gods...

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

That anime is creepy as h**l. Watch it and you'll see what I mean. There are all kinds of different dimensions and different characters (all schoolgirls) get possessed by demons and they go around killing people.... I dunno how to describe it but I swear to God I had to sleep with my light on after watching one particular episode XD

The part that really creeped me out was in the first torture scene where Mion is torturing [the main boy] he survives the torture and goes to the hospital only to find out that the the girl who was torturing him was found dead in a well like... a week prior = S

Urgh, definitely Uzumaki (manga) from the legendary horror mangaka Junji Ito!

I wouldn't recommend this horror manga for you (and probably others) because this one isn't your ordinary, typical choice of reading. Seriously it's not! Seeing the list above like Monster, Hellsing, Elfen Lied etc, well that isn't as gory as this one! At least those series has reached to mainstream. Although this kinda have some romance, but forget the romance! You'll get spin around the circle reading this manga! The manga has been adapted into a horror movie, I don't think they have anime (yet, who would want this to be anime??)

The story was really confusing (pun of those spiral obsession happening in the town) The plot revolves around a girl who lives in a town, Kurozu, that's obsessed with spirals - both natural and artificial ones. It's not really the people who "are" obsessed, it's just that the town holds a lot of power that makes people obsess over the spirals. The whole town is full of it, which is kinda creepy

The most 'annoying' scene I've seen in the manga is whenever it involved the snails. Urgh.... If you dare, to read it at night.... you can download the manga here (they got 3 volume if you intend to buy it).

Another on the top 10 would be school days with the most ****** up ending......it was cool until 3/4 way in.

Strawberry Panic is another very weird one because the entire school is full of lesbians. Not just any lesbians! these lesbians are old fashioned with old dresses that look like they were made 18th century.

oh yeah POKEMON the entire ******* island is nuts! theres more pokemon food then human food! Team rocket are the strongest people in the entire island because they survive falling from high heights, electrocuted every 30 minutes, extremely enginuitive, survive from random explosions that defy the laws of physics! Every season Ash has a hot chick traveling with him and he doesn't do anything with her! Someone should have told him along time ago to get a girlfriend but no his obsesion to be a pokemon master has no limits. NONE OF THEM AGE! Ash abandons his pokemon at the start of every season and starts again from scratch using picachu! HE HAD A ******* CHARAZARD! **** getting a g*y purple monkey that shoots stars when it cart wheels........

Blood Reign: Curse Of The Yoma- It's about one lone warrior named Hikage who must battle against the army of the dead. It's creepy because there are a lot of demons, ghost, and very gruesome scenes in this anime.
