i don't know i have never eaten a "?" but if i had to guess i would say it is the "." just cause it is small and kinda looks like a grape-nut.

I'd guess the crunchy part of a ? is the dot. Squiggly part looks much softer.

... an eyelid?   When you wake up from a deep sleep and find crusty parts in the corners of your eyes, it's actually mucus, which travels up from your nose through your tear ducts, and becomes firm as you sleep.  If it's discolored or thicker than average, it could be the result of an infection, but otherwise, it's perfect normal, so don't fear.
