What is the crusing range for a 2000 searay 310?

My friend has a 1999 310 with 260hp Mercs and Bravo 3's. Figure 180 gallons available at a 18gph burn at 24 knots gives you 240 nautical miles. However that is with no reserve.

Get your GPS and take a little ride, as Boat fuel tank,s are square the fuel level drop,s consistently ,unlike  Automobiles. see how far you go from 3/4 tank to 1/2 tank. and enjoy the ride.  I don't consider this as wasting gas, I call it Boating,

this is not an exact science but it will give you a rough Ida as to how far the Gas stations need to be.

I would throttle up to 1500 RPM,s going and 2000 on the return trip get a better grip on fuel consumption.

just start and stop in the same place and you will have all the answer,s you need for your Boat.
