  1. They are two of the most important places in Caracas. The Panteón Nacional is where all former presidents are buried, including Simón Bolívar! The house of Simón Bolívar is a museum. It's one of the few places (there also the Quinta Anauco in San Bernardino) that show the way of life in colonial times. The house of Simón Bolívar was renovated during the government of Juan Vicente Gómez in the early 1900's. During this renovation all of what's marble today was added.  (During the colony marble was not used in homes no matter how rich the families where)
