And please tell me, what banknotes and coins do they have? And how much is their currency worth, compared to the US$ or EURO? Thanks!

  1. The Swiss Franc, try x-e.com for current exchange rates.

  2. Swiss francs. One franc = 100 centimes.

    1 US Dollar = 1.09902 Swiss Franc

1 Swiss Franc (CHF) = 0.90990 US Dollar (USD)

    1 Euro = 1.62555 Swiss Franc

1 Swiss Franc (CHF) = 0.61518 Euro (EUR)

  3. Swiss Franc (CHF)

Banknotes: 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 CHF all relatively common. (you can get a 200CHF note out of a bank machine and use it in the kiosk to buy gum.) 1000 CHF harder to come by, but still widely accepted, at department stores for instance. The greater the value, the physically bigger the bill. They're also quite beautiful.

    Coins: 1CHF=100 centimes/Rappen

Coins come in 5, 10, 20 Rappen and 1/2, 1, 2, and 5 franks. The Rappen ones and the franc ones also get bigger and bigger (5 Rappen is about the size of 1/2 franc).

1 CHF is pretty close to 1 USD right now, about 65 Eurocents.

  5. same as above
