  1. The current men's world record of 9.72 s is held by Usain Bolt of Jamaica, set at the Icahn Stadium in New York on 31 May 2008 at the Reebok Grand Prix. The current women's world record of 10.49 s was set by Florence Griffith-Joyner, in Indianapolis, Indiana, on 16 July 1988.

  2. it was Tyson g*y who ran YESTERDAY at the Olympic trials in 9.68 seconds.... yes that was faster than Usain Bolt with 9.72 but it didn't' count because the wind succeeded the maximum standards giving him and unfair advantage however it was "the fast person ever to run from 0-100 meter"

  3. Right now it's 9.72 by Usain Bolt last month

Everyone says Tyson g*y's windaided 9.68 yesterday should be,

Thwn maybe we ahould have given it to Obadele Thompson  in El Paso Texas in 1996, running an also windaided 9.69

  4. 9.72 sec by Usian Bolt from Jamaca

  5. Yeah Usain Bolt does hold the fastest 100m time, but just yesterday at the U.S Olympic Trials Tyson g*y ran it in 9.68 seconds. Although they measured some wind during the heat, it was said that Tyson g*y ran the fastest in the history of the event. No one else has ran from 0 to 100 meters in that time.

  6. 9.72 by Usain Bolt

    however,

the world's fastest 100m from 0m to 100m is 9.68 by Tyson g*y (the wind aided him apparently)
