  2. I keep looking for the answer to this question.  Last official figure I saw was two years ago years ago and then it was over 500 Billion (I also think it was referring to the previous year !!)  This year we are borrowing at a rate of 24 Billion per quarter !!

GOD KNOWS WHAT THE TRUE FIGURE IS !!

I just know that we can't afford it and we are in deep $hit !!

  3. £43 Billion at the last count

  4. Current deficit if you add in off-sheet commitments such as state pension liability and PFI initiatives is £1.4 Trillion. Yes, I did say Trillion.

  5. Surplus! new labour - no way

Budget deficit lurches to worst June figure on record?

  6. They will borrow as much as they need because they wont be in power next time to be responsible for paying it back, same old labour, same new labour.  The tory's will get the economy back on track again and then get voted out for the nessesary pain it caused.  Why oh why do people have such short memories.  Bye the way you wont find an answer because the theives refuse to give evidence.

  7. the government budget or the public sector budget?

i'm a researcher, and have tried and tried for many reports to get decent figures - they don't exist! truth be told, no-one has a clue
