What is the current pay rate for preschool teachers in Pinellas County, FL with 5 years experience?

I am in Polk County near Pinellas.  Our PreK teachers in the school make around 16K a year.  They have their CDA-T.  The teachers in the ESE PreK classes are certified teachers and are paid teacher salaries.

In my state in private centers the pay stinks.  I have 19 years of experience and I make a little over $12.00 an hour!  I hope it's better in Florida.  In a public center in this state you have to be elementary ed. certified and you make the districts teacher pay around $140.00 a day, in our district.  So it would depend on the type of degree you have, if I were you I would look into a public school, if you qualify.  Good luck to you!
