  1. Caucasian. It's weird though because people who are from Spain can mark in that they're spanish, but if my whole family was Irish there is no Irish box or Italian box, we're all just caucasian.

  2. BEFORE I answer this question, allow me to state that I have visited Civil War Graveyards outside Vicksburg, Mississippi and I have seen ENTIRE hillsides of headstones marked only "unknown".....It was a result of the NUMBER of unknowns in the civil war that led to dogtags being issued to servicemen....I'm sure there are hundreds, if not thousands, of Confederates BURIED NEXT TO Unions.

What ETERNAL or religious signifigance does the answer have?

    Answer: None

I have twice been admitted to Catholic hospitals and asked this question...I asked the questioner if there was a space for "other"...I was told yes....I asked the questioner if they would mind writing in "human" on my behalf....The response both times was a smile and they wrote "human"....

  3. Caucasian~ Anyway, what is the big deal. Unless maybe someone is ashamed of who they are.

  4. Caucasian.

  5. Caucasian is the politically correct term, but it does not define the skin color. It defines where you come from, for example, Indians are described as Caucasian, even though they may be darker.

  6. caucasian although, I jsut say I'm white. Pretty soon us white folk will be the minority

  7. I guess "albino" wouldn't work well, huh?  :)

Caucasian is the current term, though I can't say as I keep up on PC very well.  Maybe "melanin deficient"? ;)

  8. None of the above. If blacks are "people of color", then the answer is "people of no color".

  9. Caucasian

  10. Hey.. great question... I'm gonna ask a similar question for the word black. :). I rather dark chocolate brown as a description for my complexion (others may differ). What does that have to do with a job anyway? does in some how depict your abilities? Weird isn't it?

  11. I've seen the following used in academia:

    European American

    "dominent majority."

If  one is speaking of a white person who has a strong affiliation for a specific ethnic group, the PC term would be "white ethnic American" rather than any of the "hypenated-American" groups like Irish-American, Italian-American etc.

Whole thing is silly as all get out if you ask me.

  12. There IS no politically correct term for a white person & I'm offended you asked.  As a person with porcelain bisque skin with a slightly reddish nose, I have nothing in common with a person that sallow skin and freckles, or for that matter, a person with a peeling sunburn.  You must think we're all alike.  White?! Ha! We're a kaleidoscope.  You must be one of those people with skin the color of mochaccino with sprinkles.  You racist!

  13. cracker......ohh wait....

  14. it's such a bummer that we ever have to fill in those bubbles that ask us what color we are or where we come from. it's such a mixed bag these days. i always check "other" but i sure look white. i'm french/blackfoot native, born in oregon. i don't feel french or native but i don't feel caucasian either. there should be another category like "hot s**y mix" or something.
