  1. Overcrowded!

There are more than 2,000,000 Americans in prison!

We are leading the world in locking up it's citizens. 60% are just in for non-violent crimes.

  2. The catch and release system is not doing the job. But it sure costs plenty of money and keeps all the cops and lawyers on over time.

  3. Crowded with illegals...over 300,000. They need to be returned to Mexican jails. Let them pay for their own criminals

  4. Awful. check this link.

  5. Somewhere between overcrowded and sardine can! Too many are far too happy to live the life of "3 hots and a cot"! Lets make doing time less pleasurable so that the recidivism rate lowers. Somehow the "Penalty" part of "Penal" has been misplaced.

  6. You know those circular doors in front of a hotel?

That's what the system is like.

Go to jail for 5 years for raping a child and get out on good behavior in 2.5 years.

Go to jail for 15 years for killing someone and get out in 7.5 years so you can do it again.
