What is the current status with the arab-israeli conflict?

Nothing has changed in the conflict itself, but what is new is some movement on the part of other Arab countries in the region to help initiate and be involved in new efforts towards peace.  I think this has some promise.  I live in Abu Dhabi and read lots of articles and editorial columns about this.  I do have some hope that there will be steps towards peace in the next year or so, but the U.S. must play a strong role also.

Saudia Arabia is still in a cold war with Israel and they had a meeting last week regarding Israel giving up land again!
